Hi Singers,

We will not have Pizzaz rehearsal Monday, December 19. I will be absent that day, so sleep in and i will see you on Wednesday!

Singing update

Just to update, we are NOT singing for the Holiday Stroll. I am double booked that day and would not be able to be there to help supervise. I feel awful about it, but we will just try another year.




Costume update: The costume process has taken much longer than i would like, but i think we are finally going somewhere. I hope to have them in my hands by next week. They should be on their way very soon. We will be trying them on and checking the fit, but some of them may need some tailoring to get the appropriate fit.


We are going to be in dark wash jeans and our pizzaz shirts for our winter concert. If you would like to wear scarf, you are welcome to - just make sure it does not inhibit your movements or your singing. Tennis shoes or Pizzaz shoes will be required...i don't want anyone slipping or losing a shoe.


Since many of you have asked, i have included a picture of the dresses with this, so you can envision the final product.

Welcome to the 2011-2012 Pizzaz cast!

Hello all and welcome to a new year of Pizzaz! We have got quite a year coming up - lots of new music, new dances and lots of opportunites for fun!
Congratulations to you for being chosen for this group - it was a very tough decision, due to the exeptional talent here at Miller this year. This just means that we will have a fantastic group this year.

A reminder, rehearsals start TOMORROW MORNING @ 7:30 AM (thats morning!) You need to come ready to fully commit to the group. If you find that you are unable to fill the position you are given, the sooner you tell me, the better. I have lots of great singers that would be happy to jump in if given the opportunity.

So, looking forward to meeting with all of you tomorrow - let's start the year off with a bang!

We're off to Adventureland!

So, the majority have spoken...we are headed to Adventureland on Saturday, May 21st. We will leave Miller at 9 am and you will have the whole morning to hang out at the park. Here are the details: 1. We perform at 2 pm on Main St - right in front of the train station, so we will have lots of space to move around. 2. Ticket price is $18.50 - that is for every person that is coming 3. Each member of Pizzaz is allowed to take 1 friend that is outside the group to the park. 4. Family is allowed to come, but I need to know so that I can get the tickets for them at the discounted price. 5. We will meet at the Plaza at 5 pm to board the bus. The park closes at 6 and most people will be moving toward the exit about that time anyway. If you want to stay longer, I just need to know ahead of time that you have your own ride. I will have a permission slip for you and your parent/guardian to sign and I will need the money as soon as possible. Checks made out to Miller Middle School!

Hey, just wanted to say congrats for a great concert last night! Yes, we have lots to work on, but I was so proud of all of you:) Looking forward to adding our next 2 pieces and putting our full show together!

No Morning Rehearsal

Just a reminder - we have NO early rehearsal on Thursday, Feb 24th. Sleep in and be ready to go full out at our rehearsal at the high school! Enjoy this...it doesn't happen a lot:)

Concert Time

Curious about our final clothing decision? Here is the scoop:

We are going to wear jeans and tennis shoes - please make sure they are not full of holes. It will just look better if they are a bit more uniform.

We are also wearing some form of plaid shirt - we are singing a song about a riverboat, so let's look like we work on one! It will be a nice effect!

We are planning to wear our costumes many more times, but we will use this opportunity to try something different! We will begin practice in our character shoes after the break and start thinking about our new pieces!

Hey Pizzazers,

Wear comfy....COOL clothing to rehearsal tomorrow. It is really warm in the choir room and you will be happy if you are in lighter clothes! You know how warm it gets in my room - so be prepared and bring a water bottle and be ready to move!

1st Saturday Rehearsal

Hey Pizzazers,

We have our 1st Saturday rehearsal on January 29th from 1 - 4 p.m. We will be in the high school choir room - it has one entire wall of mirrors and the risers space is taped to the floor.
We can sharpen our moves and hopefully have some fun too! Please bring a water bottle, comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Ladies, you can bring your character shoes as well, but i don't want them on the whole time. One last thing....bring your smiles and a great attitude and it will be a fantastic day!
